Regenerative medicine isn’t just about what happens during your treatment it’s about activating your body’s own repair system afterward. Think of your appointment as the spark…the real magic unfolds in the days and weeks that follow.
Whether you’ve had PRF, exosomes, or another regenerative protocol, here’s what you should know to maximize your results and support your skin as it heals and strengthens.
Immediate Effects: Don’t Panic, This Is Part of the Process
Mild swelling? Totally normal.
Most people notice a little puffiness or fullness in the treated area for the first 24–72 hours. This isn’t a complication it’s your body responding and beginning to process the regenerative materials. You’ll notice it softens naturally without intervention.
Post-Treatment Tips: What To Do (and Not Do)
To support proper healing, here’s what I recommend for the first few days:
-
No rubbing, massaging, or aggressive skincare on the area for 72 hours. Let the treatment settle undisturbed so it can do its job.
-
Hold off on workouts, saunas, and steam rooms for at least 24 hours. Heat and increased circulation can interfere with how the treatment integrates.
-
Wear SPF 30+ religiously, especially if you’re healing from any microneedling or laser-based regenerative procedures. UV exposure can undo progress and trigger pigmentation.
When You’ll Start Seeing Results
This is the part I always emphasize: regenerative work takes time.
Most patients begin seeing changes around the 30-day mark sometimes sooner, sometimes later depending on your skin's baseline health, circulation, and inflammation levels. But the real value is in the progression. Because these treatments are cellular, they continue to work for weeks, sometimes months, after your visit.
Want the best results? Plan for a series of 3 to 4 sessions spaced about a month apart.
Real Progress, Not Perfection Overnight
Unlike filler or surgery, regenerative aesthetics don’t give you that instant “snatched” look and that’s the point. You’re giving your body the tools it needs to rebuild itself from the inside out.
And when you look back at your skin in a few months (like one of my recent patients check her before + after a few posts back), the difference is in the tone, texture, glow, and overall health of your skin.
That’s not a trend. That’s transformation.
